When you want to store your baggage or send it ahead to a hotel or airport, look for the above logo. This is the logo for the “Hands-Free Travel” service, which is intended to help visitors to Japan travel comfortably. The Storage mark shown on the left of the logo indicates that temporary storage is available and the Delivery mark indicates that delivery service is available. Service in English is available at check-in counters with this mark (additional language availability varies by location). Baggage insurance is also available.
First, we would like to recommend delivery service between the airport and your hotel. By taking advantage of this service, you can enjoy sightseeing without having to carry your baggage on the day of your arrival or departure. Major international airports have a delivery service with reasonable fees ranging from 1,000 yen to 2,000 yen, so you should make the most of it.
Narita International Airport

*More counters are available in Departures
Available service: Delivery to all areas in Japan. Baggage checked-in between 6:00 am and one hour after the last flight arrives will be delivered the next day.
Chubu Centrair International Airport

*A second counter on the 4th floor provides other services

A similar baggage delivery service is available at major train stations including Tokyo station and Namba Station in Osaka. Baggage can be delivered to hotels near the station on the same day and a temporary storage service is available.
Tokyo Station

Location: Near the Nihombashi Exit on the 1st floor of Tokyo Station Ichibangai

JR Namba Station

Location: the 2nd floor of OCAT, directly connected to JR Namba Station
Available service: Same-day or next-day delivery to any designated location in Japan.
Delivery service is also available at the reception desk of most hotels. Baggage space is limited on Shinkansen and limited express trains, so sending your baggage directly to the next hotel will make your train ride that much smoother.
Souvenir shops, duty-free shops and shops selling local products in major tourist areas often provide delivery service. It’s a good idea to ask when you want to buy something large or buy a lot of souvenirs at one time.
Other facilities

Location: the airport baggage delivery service counter at Shinjuku Isetan, Nihombashi Mitsukoshi and Ginza Mitsukoshi
Delivery service: Baggage checked in by 3:00 p.m will be delivered to Narita Airport or Haneda Airport on the next day.
